Double-wide Door Shield

First off, this is a great company. Excellent customer service and in the USA. We bought two double wide shields in Jan '21. The velcro that came with them lasted less than a week of my beagles scratching away to get in. I'm not upset - the velcro were tiny circles and I was skeptical it would hold the shields. I bought bigger velcro and the shield on the inside of the door held but the outside shield fell off in less than a month. The culprit was HEAT. Even in March, the direct sun warmed up the shield and the glue on the velcro, causing it to separate. In addition, when it was hot, the shield put off a burning plastic odor and it stretched, so after a few weeks of direct sun, it was warped. Lastly, the shields scratch very easily and within 2 or 3 mos, they looked awful. I'm not upset about that either, at least my door didn't look like that. By the summer of 21, I'd replaced the velcro three times. Yesterday, the velcro was once again failing and the whole shield fell right off the door. In addition, I noticed the shield on the outside of the door was tearing from the top down. Summary: The product lasted a year and needs a better way of sticking to the door. Since I haven't found a better alternative and this is a great company I'll be buying more shields from them. Just disappointing that these days nothing exceeds expectations even when they aren't that high.

We have a 14lb Bichon, affectionately, known as the "Terrorist"! We ordered from Gary when we lived in NY. The Sill Shields were a God send for our window sills. Our dog was destroying them constantly jumping on the sills. There unobtrusive and simple to install. When we moved to SC it was a no brainer, Sill Shields for all the windows. We faced a new challenge. Our new front door is mostly glass with a panel below the glass. It was the perfect height for the Terrorist to jump up on to bark at anything or anyone that comes near the front door. We didn't think twice, the only solution, a double-wide 32” x 32” door shield. Perfect! It's barely visible and gives us all the protection necessary. Besides the fact that Sill Shields and the Door Shield are your best possible protection, your order is delivered quickly and packaged perfectly to avoid any damage. Don't waste your time looking any further. Sill Shield is absolutely the best product to protect window sills and doors. Thank you, again, Gary! P.S., they deserve 10 stars !!

I don't usually write reviews. We ordered three panels for our doors, after a lot of searching and reading customer feedback on other products. Our 115+ pound dog was really scratching up the doors with her requests to go out and come in. The panels have withstood her mighty paws and saved our doors. I waited to submit this review to give our dog time to do her damage and I am really happy with how well these panels are holding up. In fact, we are getting a few custom made for other doors.

We just moved and we have an anxious older dog and a puppy. We were very concerned that our custom built newly constructed home would sustain some damage in adjustment. We love this product. It is sturdy, well-priced and the service is exceptional.

Perfect product. I have a full glass door and it I do not even notice it is there.
